Hi I'm Simon Top

This is how I capture the world around me

Skyscraper
Sometimes it's more then just a building. I stopped an took my time to shoot a small series when this one caught my eye.
0711 Stuttgart 2020
Living in a city changes the way you look at this city. These are pictures made in Stuttgart during 2020. - All the black & white edits can be found at the bottom of this page.
Grabkapelle (Stuttgart)
As the summer of 2020 did not really allow to travel I became tourist in the city I live. So rediscovering Stuttgart the Grabkapelle is one of these places where I had to go. It is a mausoleum build to honour the memory of the queen Catherine Pavlovna of Russia, the wife of King William I of Württemberg.
Kortrijk II
Going back where you come from always gives a nice feeling, even when it is just for a long weekend. Meeting family and friends in a quantity that is leaning towards an overdose, that is what these weekends are alike. Nevertheless there is always time for a small photo walk.
Schloss Solitude
Castles or in german a Schloss, always have something about them. COVID-19 had a big impact on 2020, but it also allowed a lot of people to rediscover the hidden gems close to where they live. Here we go Schloss Solitude is one of these, close to Stuttgart in Germany. When looking at these pictures they give me the feeling I was somewhere far away, yet it was just a small bus ride from where I lived.
Berlin II
Same weekend, but another day and another photo walk. The walk ended in Berlin Hbf. So my first trip to Berlin comes to an end and the adventure in Stuttgart goes on.
Berlin I
In January 2020 I was for the first time in Berlin. This are the pictures from my first photowalk in this city.
Kortrijk I
The results of a photowalk in December 2019 together with a friend. Strolling through the streets of Kortrijk.
Lille I
Getting stuck in a city because of train strike sounds like horror. Luckily I had my best friend, my camera, with me. Be aware, it is a story told in 2 chapters.
Sunset in Wiesbaden
While the sun was going down above the city of Wiesbaden in Germany I was wandering through the city. Getting on top of the parking garage gave me the chance to enjoy the sunset even longer. This allowing to shoot the desolate pictures while the live in the city continued down below.
RMCC Wiesbaden
Walking around in Wiesbaden with a passionate architect was a real experience. Especially when we were walking by the RMCC building. A congress center that was drawn by one of his examples. As my camera is never far away I shot a series based on my friends enthusiasm and passion for the architecture of this building.
Heidelberg
When I walked through the historical parts of the city of Heidelberg and its castle.
