"Chapter 1 - Simon leaves on holiday"
My train from Paris got cancelled so this meant that my train tickets had to be rebooked. After eating lunch in Paris my train to Lille was ready to leave. There I would have a connection to a train that would bring me to my end destination. Once arrived in Lille I had to kill the time during a 2 hours layover. Enjoy the results of chapter 1
"Chapter 2 - Simon goes back to Germany"
After a short break you also need to go back where you came from. Two days before I had to travel back to Germany I received an email telling me that the first train got cancelled. Not knowing when I would be able to get a train to Paris I made sure that I was in the train station of Lille by 9 am. The original train I had booked was planned to leave around 2 pm. In the case of trains it is better to be to early than to late, as a train doesn't wait. Once having received a new train ticket I had to bridge the time from 10 am till 15 pm. Sounds like a challenge, but I was here before in this city. So time to drop of my luggage and take my camera to discover this playground. So Lille on a winter Sunday could look like below.
