That summer of 2020
The summer of 2020 the year that never took place. Nevertheless I'm very happy that I could spend a long weekend at my parents place. Seeing family keeping social distancing rules in mind. The same applied for when I was meeting friends and then a photo walk is always one of these fixed appointments. Catching up while making pictures and having some nice food afterwards. Unfortunately the weather gods did not play in our favour. The moment we wanted to start our walk through the city of Kortrijk, it started raining. The kind of raining that is just a little bit too much keep walking with your camera in your hands. Change of plans start with the food and start walking afterwards.
On the way out.
So already during the dinner we got in to "photo mode". So our way out was predestined to take very long. It stopped raining, but everything was still nicely covered by a layer of water. Oh, what do I love these Belgian summers. Triggered by light we also stopped to make some pictures of the temporary light fittings indicating that renovations are taking place.
Finally
It took a while, but finally we're out on the street and take off for the walk. In the mean time the world has covered itself in darkness. The street lights are on and we are out. Off we go...
